The Considered Object — Sam Waters

A well-designed object does more than perform its function it articulates a position. About material honesty, about the relationship between form and restraint, about what it means to hold something and feel that nothing is accidental.
My approach to product design begins from the same place as my visualisation practice: with atmosphere, with material, and with the question of how a thing should feel before it is understood. Each object is an attempt to compress a sensibility into physical form to design something that communicates quietly, but with complete conviction.
